Tired After 2 Weeks of Work

It wasn't so bad last week, but this week, I can barely sit up now I'm so tired.

I actually am pretty happy with my new school and grade level. My class is good, too.

Yesterday was J's Science Fair. Her project was "Solutions to Sugar." She and her friend grew sugar crystals using different types of sugar to see which would grow the largest. The project was a lot of work, but an excellent learning opportunity.

Tomorrow, I will interview kids for Harvard. J is going to Tahoe with her dad. I will alos skate, catch up chores, and maybe work in my classroom a little bit over the long weekend. But for tonight, I am going to rest.

Or so I say.

Beach Bum

Happy New Year!

We spent yesterday at the beach. The K's parents have a house right by Rio del Mar. Weather was awesome--not quite warm enough for a bathing suit, but the kids wore wetsuits and splashed in the waves. I sat in a beach chair and knit. The dads threw things at each other until they tired themselves out.

The above 'We' meaning the soccer team and parent gang, but J had to miss. She is coming home from Tahoe with her dad today, in a few hours. Tomorrow is a school day for her, but not for me. I still have until next Monday, though I will probably go in later in the week.

This Christmas has been my best one yet!
