GOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL!

J scored her first goal EVER yesterday at soccer. She usually plays mid or defense and is not terribly aggressive, but the opposing team was "easy" and she played offense for a change making a bunch of shots on goal in the first half but never converting. So, in the second half she asked Coach T put her back in specifically so she could score. He instructed her teammates to feed the ball to her, which they did. Conversion--score--goooooolllll! I tried to control myself and not cry, but everyone on team was super happy including the other parents. My continuing efforts as Team Mom have been more than rewarded. To celebrate, we went to Toys 'R' Us to shop for Barbies.

Old And New Faves

It was Read Across America Day last Friday, so my class celebrated with green eggs and ham. . .


Was at the ballet yesterday with my mom. Skated this morning. My new favorite dance is one of the oldest I've known, the Canasta Tango. But now I have a steady and artfully flamoyant partner who lets me skate it with major Latin attitude, as in "There goes M doing her 'Peggy Fleming' again." Sure it makes Sergei real nervous. ;-)

Couple of weeks ago, saw Long Day's Journey Into Night. . . It was incredibly performed. The run may be over -- sorry if you missed it.

My new thing is this. Completely sold on the concept and consider the person who came up with the idea a genius. I now have 10 meals in my freezer ready to go for the busy weeks ahead.
